Konstantin and white horizon

When I went to Finland in 2012 and signed up there for one season I never expected at all where that decision will guide me. Four years later I went to sweden with some friends where I met Johanna. Both of us were working as guides, me as a Husky Guide and Johanna as an Activity Guide!

After the first winter season we came up with the idea of founding our own company and we began to search for the perfect place. Since a company with huskies is a life time investment we were quite picky with the location. Johanna is from Sweden and knows the north pretty well, so after exploring the map for several weeks we noticed Arjeplog. We went there to see the place with our own eyes and we knew that this was the place we were looking for, close to the mountains, lots of lakes and forest, nice people and an airport not too far away.

The first year we lived with our first eight sleddogs at a camping site and after seven months we found our new home. Långviken, a small village of nine inhabitants including us and over thirthy dogs now. Johanna is currently working at the vet station in Arvidsjaur but she is still here every now and then to help out and guide dogtours!

White horizon - A paradise in arjeplog, swedish lapland

White Horizon was born in January 2018 to give us the opportunity to show people from all over the world how to live up north. Our dream is to show you our lifestyle on the big yard in Långviken, heat up the wooden house early in the morning with fire and feeding the animals outside before breakfast. Guests, guides and volunteers are eating together, sharing experiences and creating amazing memories for life.

The name "White Horizon" comes from the winter landscape, when its all white outside. When you can't recognize where the ground ends and the skz starts. The ground, the air, the sky... Everything is white.
This is the time when you have to fully trust your dogs to take you home beacuse you can't see anything in this type of condition.

four legged family members

At the yard of White Horizon you will currently find 33 dogs, two cats and in the winter time there are sometimes two reindeers. I am looking forward to welcome you here!

The animals are our top priority every day, they deserve the very best!
